Preparations are underway for the LNGA’s Indiana Debut at the 99th LNGA Amateur Championship

The LNGA is gearing up to bring its elite golf championship to Indiana for the first time in the Organization’s 99 year History.

St. Louis, MO – The Ladies National Golf Association (LNGA) is preparing for an important stop in amateur golf: the 99th LNGA Amateur Championship, set for July 20–23, 2026, at Harrison Lake Country Club in Columbus, Indiana.

As one of five elite tournaments in the Women’s Elite Amateur Golf Series (WEAGS), the LNGA Amateur Championship draws a global field of top-tier amateur women golfers. The championship will feature top players in the Women’s Amateur Golf Rankings (WAGR), including the 32nd ranked amateur in the world. The event also serves as the final opportunity for players to earn critical points toward exemptions into the 126th U.S. Women’s Amateur Championship. This year’s LNGA Amateur Championship field will include over 100 players from eight countries and six local competitors from Indiana. 

Throughout the organization's 99-year history, the championship has yet to be played in the state of Indiana. The LNGA Amateur Championship has taken place in 34 states since its founding in 1927, making Indiana the 35th state to host.

Cathy Mant, President of the Ladies National Golf Association, shared the organization’s excitement about bringing its prestigious championship to Indiana for the first time.

“The LNGA is beyond thrilled to introduce our championship to the state of Indiana,” said Mant. “Our championship brings in elite athletes from all over the world, and we cannot wait to share their talent with Columbus at Harrison Lake Country Club. With the combination of the LNGA’s rich history, competitive field of athletes, and a fantastic venue in Harrison Lake, the championship is certain to bring forth an incredible week of golf.” 

The championship impact extends beyond just the leaderboard. As a traveling championship, the LNGA Amateur brings with it economic benefits for host communities, from hotel stays and dining to regional exposure.
