Former LNGA Champions, Cindy Hsu and Kelly Xu, named to the inaugural class of LPGA Collegiate Advancement Pathway.

St. Louis, MO- Former LNGA Amateur Champions Cindy Hsu (2025) and Kelly Xu (2022) have been named members of the inagural class of LPGA Collegiate Advancement Pathway, a new program designed to give college seniors a pathway to the Official Qualifying Tour of the LPGA.

Introduced in 2025, this program awards Epson Tour status to the top 10 golfers following the NCAA Women’s Golf Championship. Xu finished the season ranked No. 3 among seniors, with Hsu following behind at No. 4. This status gives them playing opportunities on the Epson Tour for the remainder of 2026 and throughout the entirety of the 2027 season. Xu swept the LNGA Amateur Championship in 2022, becoming the Amateur Champion, Junior Medialist, and Howell Team Trophy Champion. Hsu claimed the LNGA Amateur Championship in 2025, her second year competing in the tournament. She also helped secure the Howell Team Trophy for the University of Texas for the second consecutive year.

Ladies National Golf Association President, Cathy Mant, shared her joy at the news of these former LNGA Champion’s accomplishments.

"We are thrilled to see former LNGA champions Kelly Xu and Cindy Hsu achieve this milestone," said Mant. "The LNGA Amateur Championship has long attracted some of the best players in women's amateur golf, and it's rewarding to watch our champions continue to succeed at the highest levels. Their accomplishments reflect both their talent and the strength of the competition that defines the LNGA."

The 99th LNGA Amateur Championship will be held in Columbus, Indiana July 20-23, 2026. With roots dating back to 1927, the LNGA continues to provide a competitive platform that celebrates tradition while building the future of women’s golf. The 99th Amateur Championship will further that legacy—welcoming players, fans, and volunteers to an unforgettable week in Columbus.
